In this episode, Dickon witnesses Thaddeus making moves on his Evelyn, and ends up courageously protecting his honor on instinct. Later on, he manages, for the first time, to successfully cast a mind-controlling spell over one of his female friends, Primrose to reveal a small secret and become slightly more amenable.
